Lunch options:
- There are University restaurants close by: The small "Mensaria" in the chemistry faculty, opposite to the physics faculty and the larger "Mensa am Medizincampus", a 10 mins walk at Liebigstr. 23. The University restaurants can only be used with a special payment card. It is possible to obtain one Monday at lunchtime in the "Mensa am Medizincampus" (someone will be waiting there to issue cards). You will have to pay a deposit of 10Euro. To claim back the deposit, you then have to return it at the same place on Friday at lunchtime.
- Pizzeria da Salvo at Philipp-Rosenthal-Straße 9, a 10 mins walk.
- The REWE supermarket at Tarostraße 2 (10 mins walk) has sandwiches, fruits, etc.
- There are a couple quick options along Windmühlenstraße (15 mins walk), such as the bakery "Lukas", the kebab/burger/falafel "Alnor", etc.
- There are further options along Prager Str. (15 mins walk, either along Johannisallee or through the Friedenspark), such as Indian restaurant Maharani (Prager Str. 39), Asian "HUNG Asia" (Prager Str. 37), or Arabian/Falafel "Arabesque" (Prager Str. 60).
Dinner options:
- Note that there will be a conference dinner on Wednesday at Barthels Hof. In case you would like to join but have not yet signed up by participating at the survey, please let us know asap.
- There are many dinner options in the city center (for example Auerbachs Keller, known from "Faust"), in particular around the Marktplatz.
- A bit less touristy, but still close to the city center is Gottschedstraße, for example with Pizzeria 60 seconds to Napoli or asian vegan GAO vegan
- Many further options (also pubs) can be found along "Karli" (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße), south of the city center.
