During the conference we recommend using FFP2 masks given the large number of in person participants in the venue.
Travel
Located in the central-east part of Germany, Jena can be easily reached by public transportation from all over Europe. Fast trains connect the city to the main airports of Berlin, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Munich and Nuremberg.
For arrival in Jena, the train stations "Jena West" and "Jena Paradies" are the closest to the city center, whereas the station "Jena Saalbahnhof" is the closest to the hotels below.
9-Euro-Ticket
Currently, one can book the 9-Euro-Ticket which is valid in all regional trains and local transportation within all cities in Germany. More information on their website here. Although it offers a very cheap way to travel within Germany, it can get very crowded in the trains. For comfortable traveling we recommend booking the fast trains: ICE, IC.
