Our Vision
LOGICLAB (Molecular logic lab-on-a-vesicle for intracellular diagnostics) is a multi-faceted and multi-sectoral research network funded by the European Commission with the aim to establish a novel type of molecular logic sensors that reliably operate in biological media. With excellent cross-disciplinary scientific and complementary training, the LOGICLAB consortium consists of 14 young scientists in the fields of chemistry, physics and biology. Since we are all early stage researchers or PhD candidates, we want to offer an interdisciplinary symposium to young researchers longing to show their work to their peers. Here you can find our overall goals for this symposium
Young Participation
We will have excellent short lectures at appeal to young researchers from a broad spectrum of scientific backgrounds. But we also aim to provide a platform for young researchers. Therefore, we offer flash talks in which the early-stage researchers present their work. Our goal is to share our research and do so in an understandable way for biologist, chemists, physicists and others.
Interdisciplinary
The strength of science and innovation lays in collaboration, and collaborations starts with exchange of ideas. Nonetheless, biologist, chemists and physicists speaks different languages. Therefore, it is capital to keep open and effective communication channels between different disciplines and practice sharing knowledge in a comprehensible manner. Our symposium aims to provide young researches with a safe and encouraging space to share their work with a wide community of eager scientist and students. May that lead to fruitful discussions and networking opportunities.
Gender Equality
Being part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions it is important to us that there is equal representation of genders. We hope to have equal submission from all of them.
International Attendance
The LOGICLAB consortium consists of academics, students and collaborator from Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. To keep promoting the international character of science we would like to continue to encourage participation from all around the world. Online symposiums are excellent for that purpose, the only concern being restrictions due to time zones. All abstracts submitted will be considered and we are doing our very best to plan an event that is convenient for most of the participants.
