Description

In applications modelled by elliptic PDEs, it is often desirable to have guaranteed control over the discretization error. This task goes beyond asymptotic error estimates and requires the numerical methods to preserve some structural aspects of the original PDE. The talk discusses some details about inclusion of Maxwell eigenvalues and inf-sup constants as well as a posteriori error estimation and adaptivity for nonlinear problems.
