Description

The classification and characterization of universality classes of quantum field theories is of fundamental importance in order to understand the critical behavior of different models. I will present a covariant formulation of perturbative renormalization that allows for a generalization of the usual approach to such a problem to the case of curved spacetime and discuss some applications.
