DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Hannes Keppler (Heidelberg University)\n\nI will rev
iew random tensor models and explain how they lead to an interesting class
of quantum field theory models.Random tensor models generalize random mat
rix models and have their origins in quantum gravity. By promoting the ten
sors to fields living on a d-dimensional spacetime\, one obtains so-called
tensor field theories. The most important feature of tensor models is the
ir "melonic" large-N limit\, that allows for non-trivial\, systematic resu
mmations of correlation functions.  These models provide examples of anal
ytically tractable quantum field theories\, lead to a novel class of confo
rmal field theories\, and can be used to construct a UV asymptotically fre
 e field theory in d=4.\n\nhttps://indico.tpi.uni-jena.de/event/448/
