Abstract:

Weyl semimetals, three-dimensional solid state materials, have been linked to emergent spacetimes. I will review the main ideas behind those statements, and show how Weyl semimetals with spatially varying tilt profiles can be used to sense electrons similar to gravitational lensing of light.
